This is the amplifier featured in the Art of Manliness article "How to Make an Old-Time Radio Into an Mp3 Player Speaker".
An audio amplifier kit designed to be used in an old radio enclosure. Feed the 3.5mm (1/8") jack with your iPod or other audio source and drive up to 1W of power into a connected speaker.
The circuit is based around the LM386 general purpose amplifier IC.
Be sure to select the kit type fom the drop-menu above. There is an option of PCB Only, Full Kit, and Pre-Built Kit.

- Powered from 12VDC supply (2.1mm barrel - positive tip)
- Screw terminals for connecting speaker and external volume adjustment potentiometer
- Maximum gain may be set from 20 up to 200
- Support for Bass Boost

- 3.5mm (1/8") Audio Cable
